The diagnostic device is compatible with all vehicles that have an OBD2 interface. Even without prior knowledge, you can operate the tool easily: simply connect it to the OBD2 interface of the vehicle and the device reads out the fault codes. LEDs in green, yellow and red show you errors. Thanks to the freeze frame function, the unit stores the codes and status information it detects. This includes fault codes, speed, airflow, ignition, fuel system, rpm, water temperature and much more. It also displays the exact DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) description. This will tell you what the error codes mean. Then make the necessary improvements or take the vehicle to the workshop.
Depending on the code, you have the option of deleting the entry with the autodiagnostic device, for example after you have eliminated errors. The unit records up to 249 types of parameters and works with the following protocols: CAN, VPW, PWM, ISO9141, KWP2000. The universal tool shows you the information in your choice of English, German, Spanish, French, Dutch, Italian, Finnish, Russian, Portuguese, Turkish and Polish.
With the OBD2 scanner you can capture information on:
- Fault codes, description and solution
- Vehicle identification number (VIN)
- Identification number of the installed software on the control unit (ID)
- Calibration Test Number (CVN)
- Live data to the on-board computer (PCM)
- Status of the engine control unit (ECU)
- Readiness code
- .O2 sensors
- pending DTCs after repair
The handy readout device has 9 different readout modes:
- Voltage limit fat to lean
- Voltage limit lean to fat
- minimum probe voltage to calculate switching time
- maximum probe voltage to calculate switching time
- Bold to lean switchover time in ms
- Lean to bold switchover time in ms
- minimum probe voltage for test cycle
- .maximum probe voltage for test cycle
- Duration of a half-wave in ms
