The Bloch band saw impresses with a powerful 7 HP motor that drives the 275 cm long saw blade at up to 2800 rpm. Thanks to the high performance values, you can easily separate hard and soft wood with the saw and, with a thickness of 1.5 mm, you only produce a small amount of waste. Depending on the nature of the wood, you can continuously adjust the rotation and therefore the cutting speed. The power package is held securely in a horizontal alignment in the chassis, so you can work precisely. A consistent cut is facilitated by the robust construction, which proves to have extremely low vibrations when cutting.
The runway is 3 m long, which you can extend with another section if necessary. On four smooth-running wheels, you can use the handle to guide the chassis safely and without jerking over the runway while the saw blade cuts into the log. The construction is designed for round wooden beams with a diameter of 457 mm; square beams can be cut up to a diameter of 400 mm. You adjust the width of the cut manually using a hand crank, which reliably moves the saw's retaining cables and keeps them at the desired height.
The trestle band sawmill is designed for long-term use and can withstand even high loads. The motor proves to be extremely low-maintenance and thus prevents longer downtimes. If the machine overheats, appropriate protection switches it off immediately. This prevents damage to the band saw and protects you as the user from injuries.
