I admit to slight trepidation at ordering a factory second but it gave me what I needed at a price I could afford. I needn’t have worried at all. The desk arrived a day earlier than I was expecting and although the box was in a dreadful state, all the bits were there. I managed to put it together by myself - major feeling of self achievement - and found one dodgy weld that was pretty immaterial making my concerns about a factory second completely unfounded. The desk itself is just lovely. There is a knack to the tilt mechanism that took me a couple of days to master. The glass top is beautifully smooth for my drawing surface to rest on and I’ve discovered I can use magnets either side of the glass to keep my artwork still while I draw. The height of the desk is adjustable meaning my posture is better because I’m comfortable which means less backache. The only things I don’t like are the drawers which are noisy and don’t move smoothly; and it would be great if the pull out table at the side could be put on your preferred side rather than it being fixed to the left side. Over all I’m incredibly happy with my desk and with the service from Expondo.
